Conway half marathon results – final road counter

Sunday 20th November saw the final road counter of the season, the Conwy Half Marathon.

Eight Helsby vests managed to cross the border in what was a good day weather-wise for the time of year, with some blue sky showing through on occasion. The route is scenic, starting and finishing at Conwy Castle but heading out to Llanduddno and up the Great Orme, which shows how good Helsby times were, and well done to Ian for a sub 90 half marathon that included the Orme and especially to Jane finishing 3rd in her age category! However, surely run of the day goes to birthday boy John Gallon for his 2nd place. Hope you picked up some prizes Jane, John?

Full results lookup below but Helsby positions and times are as follows. (Gun times and position)

59th      Ian Landucci                1.27.56
151st    Adair Broughton         1.35.42

High Legh 10k — 26 Feb 2012

Chris Lees, from our new friends at Lymm Runners has been in touch. He’s also Race Director for the High Legh 10k…

Hi all – As the new Race Director for the 2012 event, I thought I would email the many running and athletic clubs local to the race direct. Please find attached a PDF with details about the race, which is now in its 5th year.

I hope you can distribute the details amongst your club and it would be great to see you on the start line in February. It is a very friendly community event with a fast road course predominantly on quiet country lanes. We are also putting together a decent goody bag for your efforts.

Many regards,
Chris Lees, Race Director
