Hi all
Easter Sunday saw some Helsby runners deciding not to stay indoors eating Easter Eggs but to head out for a drizzly day in Runcorn for the 2nd road race in the Helsby Counters. Over 700 runners were out in total and 13 of those were from Helsby for the Halton Run the Bridge 5 Mile race. It has the potential to be a PB course but probably in better conditions (quite windy today) although some runners once again improved on their times from just a few days ago at the Spring 5 (Jayne, Roy and John and I presume Tom) to get PB’s anyway! Show’s what I know. Guess it was the thought of hot cross buns and a cup of tea at the end?
Helsby were in the prizes too with Albert, Carol and Alison securing age category victories and once again the Helsby ladies were on the podium for third in the team category. Brilliant.
Full results available from the following website but you will need to choose Run the Bridge in the drop down menu. http://www.chipresults.co.uk/Default.aspx

Wrexham 10 Mile is the next road club counter, I’ll send some details out nearer the time.
Once again well done to everyone and it was great to see Helsby in the prizes today but more importantly all the enthusiasm clearly on show.
