Saturday afternoon saw Clive Wilkinson head to the Tarren Hendre fell race and his race report is below
“Decided to make the journey into Wales to give fell running a try. Unfortunately a forecast of strong winds resulted in the summit section of the race being removed from the course on the advice of the Mountain Rescue Team. This left a steep walk, followed by a lot of trail running and a very muddy descent. Weather wasn’t too bad in the end although we did have hailstones at one point.
Finished 22nd in a field of 49 with a time of 52:01
Well done to Clive on what was a fantastic results for his first fell race!
Full results for Tarren Hendre are already up on the fellrunner website and a report usually follows on the Welsh Fell Runners website. Links as below.
