Saturday afternoon saw Clive Wilkinson head to the Tarren Hendre fell race and his race report is below
“Decided to make the journey into Wales to give fell running a try. Unfortunately a forecast of strong winds resulted in the summit section of the race being removed from the course on the advice of the Mountain Rescue Team. This left a steep walk, followed by a lot of trail running and a very muddy descent. Weather wasn’t too bad in the end although we did have hailstones at one point.
Finished 22nd in a field of 49 with a time of 52:01
Clive Wilkinson”

Jackie Keasley would like to say
Thanks for coming along to last Weds 4 Villages Wash up meeting. It was well attended & there were many good ideas & comments for next year’s race, easier to do now than next year whilst it’s fresh in our minds & legs!
We have had plenty of suggestions for our summer road & fell counters. Please come along on Wed 26th Feb 8.30 to the bar after our club run, where we will sort out the counters lists for this summer championships. Sustenance for the evening will be chip baps organised by Dave & Lesley who will be in touch.
Thanks
Jackie
