And another – Borders League season finale is nearly upon us
Borders League Race 7 is to be held on Weds 25th April. All details below. It would be great to get a good turn out again for the last race of the season, and guarantee our place where we belong in the top division. For anyone who has not raced this before we need to pre-register you for this one, you cannot turn up on the night and just run like normal. I need your details in by Monday 23rd April at the very latest. Please let me know if you are attending.

Thanks to Carol Shaw for sending a report in
Chester Spring 5 – Wednesday April 11th 2018
20 green vests took part in our 4th race in the road series, the Chester Spring 5, last Wednesday. The weather conditions were perfect for running and although there were concerns about water out on the course, we all ran through the puddles without a problem. Chris Fitzpatrick was first home for Helsby in a chip time of 28.39, even though he had previously run the Manchester Marathon three days before!
Debbie and Carol won age category prizes, and Carol, Christina and Debbie all finished within a minute of each other. Many thanks to Geoff Collins and Neil Finnegan for their support out on the course, and as always a big thank you to Joe and Mario for cheering us all on.

Thanks to Bish for sending this one over – Radcliffe 10k trail race
Sunday morning took me off to Radcliffe for a trail race with a sting in the tail. Radcliffe A.C. had to amend the course due to repair works on the canal. Then had to change race HQ. Finally this morning had to contend with loose horses on the course, who very kindly left plenty on poo mine’s on the course.🐎😠

Park run seen runners out in Pheonix, Warrington, Delamere, Widnes, Stretford, & Northwich. Full consolidated results below
Big mention to Derek (Degsy) Morris, who looks like he’s joined the club again after injury just at the right time, winning Pheonix Park Run. Well done mate great to see you back
That’s all folks
