We missed the traditional Xmas club handicap in December because of the weather. We’ll have earned some light relief after the Shell Four Village Half Marathon this weekend, so the postponed handicap will be this Wednesday (26), instead of the regular club run.
It’s ‘bring a prize, recieve a prize’ – so bring along a small (surprise?) gift costing about a fiver. Put it on the table with the others after the race, then when your name is called out in the results pick a prize from the collection.
Why not claim your running handicap from RunBritain
You can see how you compare to friends or other runners or see if you are improving!
Quick reminder: the annual club handicap is tonight. Gather at 6:30pm as normal, we’ll move up to Tesco for the actual start. Full marks to Richard M for taking on the onerous task of organising the rabble. No mutterings at the back about handicaps please! Followed by secret santa at the club house and maybe a drink or two. It’s still not too late to signal your interest to Richard (and thereby avoid starting at the back!). Bring a nice little gift of about a fiver.
It’s not far, and not necessarily fast for most of us! No excuses now.
