Helsby weekly round-up 5th-10th June 2013

A warm Wednesday night saw the Birkenhead Park 5 mile race where Helsby’s Colin Thompson had a great run for 25th place

Deestriders Multi-terrain Race 1 (from a series of 4) was on Thursday 6th June. Quite a number of Helsby vests were out with first home for Helsby Adair Broughton followed by Jim O’Hara, Colin Thompson, Ivan Davies and Gareth Boyd.

Saturday morning was the Delamere Park Run with another fine performance from Colin Bishop and a fantastic course PB for Gareth Boyd. Carol Shaw was first Helsby lady home.

Also on Saturday was the tough North Wales Fell Series Moel Hebog Race. A storming run by Jayne saw her finish 3rd lady overall with some brilliant competition. Jane Ashbrook was going to run but a serious ankle injury on the date meant she had to sadly miss the race but she was out on the course in support. Adair Broughton also ran.
